The Bulldogs ended the regular season with a stirring Henlopen Conference win over rival Seaford.

Ben Ralph posted a decision at 160 to put Laurel up 33-27 heading into the final match at 171.

Adam Gaull (145), D.W. Horsey (135) and Zach Slatcher (heavyweight) recorded pins to set up Ralph's heroics.

The Bulldogs managed only three wins in the Henlopen Conference loss. Kiante Walker at 189 and Zach Slatcher at heavyweight recorded pins for Laurel, which fell to 5-7 in the conference.

The Bulldogs stayed close midway through the Henlopen Conference dual meet before Smyrna pulled away. Laurel got pins from Ben Ralph at 160, Jameik Matthews at 125 and Zach Slatcher at heavyweight. Eston Ennis won his match at 215 by decision.

The Bulldogs dropped only two matches in the easy Henlopen Conference win. Laurel posted seven pins, including a 35-second pin by Jameik Matthews at 125. The Bulldogs' other pins were recorded by Jared Allen at 103, Ben Gordy at 130, Ben Ralph at 160, Scott Givens at 171, Eston Ennis at 215, and Zach Slatcher at heavyweight.

The Bulldogs dropped the nonconference dual meet to the upstate power. Winning for Laurel were Kiante Walker by pin at 189 and Jeff Downes (140), Ben Ralph (160) and Eston Ennis (215) by decision.

The Bulldogs became the latest victim of six-time defending Henlopen Conference champion Caesar Rodney. Heavyweight Zach Slatcher had a pin for Laurel. Jared Allen and Ben Ralph recorded decisions at 103 and 160, respectively. Laurel hosts Dover in a conference dual meet on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 7:30 p.m.

In the evening's marquee matchup, Laurel's Ben Ralph lost a 2-1 double-overtime decision to Sussex Central's Raheim Brunskill.

The Bulldogs pulled out the Henlopen Conference victory on a decision by Jameik Matthews at 125.

Tech had tied the meet 29-29 on a pin at 119 before Matthews' clinching victory.

Laurel recorded three pins by pin D.W. Horsey at 135, Ben Ralph at 160, and Jared Allen at 103.

Bobby Otwell won by a major decision at 112, while Jeff Downes won by decision at 140.

The Bulldogs dropped the Henlopen Conference dual meet as they fell to 3-3 in the conference. No other details were available.

The Bulldogs suffered a tough Henlopen Conference loss to fall to 3-2 in dual meets this season.

Polytech clinched the outcome with a pin in the next-to-last match in the heavyweight bout.

Laurel got pins from Bobby Otwell at 112, D.W. Horsey at 135, and Eston Ennis at 215.

The Bulldogs also got decisions from Jamiek Matthews at 130, Jeff Downes at 140, Ricky Ralph at 152, and Jared Allen at 103.

Winning by pin were Jared Allen at 103, Bobby Otwell at 112, D.W. Horsey at 135, Jason Ward at 171 and Kiante Walker at 189.

Jameik Matthews and Eston Ennis both won by major decision at 130 and 215, respectively.

Winning by decision for Laurel were Scott Hearn at 125, Jeff Downes at 140, Adam Gaull at 145, and Ricky Ralph at 152.

Delmar managed only two wins. Laurel is now 3-1 in dual meets.

The Bulldogs suffered their first dual meet loss as Milford won the Henlopen Conference match. Zach Slatcher recorded a major decision for the Bulldogs in the heavyweight match. Laurel is now 2-1 in dual meets.

The Bulldogs rolled to an easy Henlopen Conference Southern Division triumph with the help of three pins and six forfeits.

Laurel got its pins from Jameik Matthews at 130, Adam Gaull at 145, and Scott Dial at 189.

The Bulldogs are now 2-0 in dual meets.

The Bulldogs started their Henlopen Southern Division schedule right with a big win over Indian River.

After falling behind 15-6 early, the Bulldogs won six straight matches to take control, starting with a pin by Jameik Matthews at 130.

Alfred Baynard (152), Ben Ralph (160) and Jason Ward (171) capped the string of wins with consecutive pins to put Laurel ahead 43-15.

Ben Gordy posted a major decision at 135 and D.W. Horsey won by decision at 140 during the run.

Laurel heavyweight Zach Slatcher closed the match out with a decision. Laurel also took advantage of three forfeits.
