Laurel 33, Seaford 30 The Bulldogs ended the regular season with a stirring Henlopen Conference win over rival Seaford. Ben Ralph posted a decision at 160 to put Laurel up 33-27 heading into the final match at 171. Adam Gaull (145), D.W. Horsey (135) and Zach Slatcher (heavyweight) recorded pins to set up Ralph's heroics. Lake Forest 46, Laurel 15 The Bulldogs managed only three wins in the Henlopen Conference loss. Kiante Walker at 189 and Zach Slatcher at heavyweight recorded pins for Laurel, which fell to 5-7 in the conference. Smyrna 45, Laurel 21 The Bulldogs stayed close midway through the Henlopen Conference dual meet before Smyrna pulled away. Laurel got pins from Ben Ralph at 160, Jameik Matthews at 125 and Zach Slatcher at heavyweight. Eston Ennis won his match at 215 by decision. Laurel 59, Dover 6 The Bulldogs dropped only two matches in the easy Henlopen Conference win. Laurel posted seven pins, including a 35-second pin by Jameik Matthews at 125. The Bulldogs' other pins were recorded by Jared Allen at 103, Ben Gordy at 130, Ben Ralph at 160, Scott Givens at 171, Eston Ennis at 215, and Zach Slatcher at heavyweight. Caesar Rodney 52, Laurel 12 The Bulldogs became the latest victim of six-time defending Henlopen Conference champion Caesar Rodney. Heavyweight Zach Slatcher had a pin for Laurel. The Bulldogs started their Henlopen Southern Division schedule right with a big win over Indian River. After falling behind 15-6 early, the Bulldogs won six straight matches to take control, starting with a pin by Jameik Matthews at 130. Alfred Baynard (152), Ben Ralph (160) and Jason Ward (171) capped the string of wins with consecutive pins to put Laurel ahead 43-15. Ben Gordy posted a major decision at 135 and D.W.
