Polytech 56, Milford 22 The Bucs concluded their season at 5-14 in the Henlopen Conference. Milford 57, New Castle Baptist 29 The Bucs rolled to the nonconference win to stop a three-game losing stresak as Katie Washington scored 14 points to lead four players in double figures. Also in double figures were Andrea Harper with 13 points, Shatera Baynard with 12 points, and Xanesha McDonald with 11. Milford took a 29-17 halftime lead and took command with a 14-4 edge in the third quarter. Dover 46, Milford 23 The Bucs fell to 5-13 in the Henlopen Conference as they were outscored 13-4 in the third quarter. Shomeka Piper's seven points paced Milford. Caesar Rodney 71, Milford 14 The Bucs were no match for the Henlopen Conference Northern Division power. Milford is now 5-12 in the conference. Sussex Central 48, Milford 41 The Bucs dropped the Henlopen Conference game to fall to 5-11 in the conference. Dee Barkley and Katie Washington led Milford with 14 and 13 points, respectively. The Bucs outlasted Tech in two overtimes to rise to 5-10 in the Henlopen Conference. The two teams battled to a 42-42 tie at the end of regulation as the Bucs outscored Sussex Tech 11-9 in the fourth quarter. Milford then outscored Tech 7-4 in the second overtime to finally settle matters. The Bucs were led by Katie Washington and Andrea Harper, who scored 14 points apiece. Harper's total included a three-pointer. Aiding them were Dee Barkley and Debbie Postles with 8 points apiece. Cape Henlopen 58, Milford 33 The Bucs stayed close in the first half of the Henlopen Conference contest but Cape Henlopen broke the game open with a 23-9 edge in the third quarter. Debbie Postles paced Milford with 10 points. The loss dropped Milford to 4-10 in the conference. Delmar 45, Milford 41 The Bucs led by six points entering the fourth quarter but were outscored 15-5 by Delmar in the final period as the Henlopen Conference game slipped away. Andrea Harper was the game's high scorer with 17 points. Smyrna 55, Milford 25 Katie Washington scored 8 points in the Henlopen Conference defeat. Milford 44, Lake Forest 43 The Bucs won the Henlopen Conference game in exciting fashion when DeNeatra Barkley intercepted an inbounds pass and raced for a layup with seven seconds left. Andrea Harper paced Milford with 19 points, while Katie Washington contributed 14 more. Seaford 54, Milford 19 The Bucs managed only two points in the second quarter and never recovered in the Henlopen Conference defeat. Seaford, the Southern Division leaders, burned the Bucs with 9 three-pointers. Polytech 64, Milford 26 The Bucs fell to 2-5 in the Henlopen Conference with the loss to the Northern Division leaders. Andrea Harper and Dee Barkley paced Milford with 9 and 8 points, respectively. Milford trailed 41-7 at halftime. Dover 56, Milford 33 The Bucs rose to 2-4 in the Henlopen Conference with the victory over Laurel. Andrea Harper and Katie Washington led the way for Milford with 15 and 1 points, respectively. Milford stayed close in the first half, trailing just 30-25 at halftime, but CR blew the game open with a 23-5 advantage in the third quarter. Dee Barkley paced the Bucs, who fell to 1-3 in the conference and overall, with 16 points. Andrea Harper and Katie Washington contributed 8 and 7 points, respectively. Harper sank a three-pointer. Milford hosts Dover in a conference game on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 7:30 p.m. Milford 41, Sussex Central 30 The Bucs picked up their first victory of the season with the Henlopen Conference triumph. Sussex Tech 62, Milford 39 The Bucs were outscored by a combined 34-10 in the first and third quarters in the Henlopen Conference defeat. In falling to 0-2 in the conference and overall, Milford fell behind Sussex Tech 14-4 after the first quarter and trailed 54-27 by the end of three quarters.
