Laurel 33, Seaford 30 The Blue Jays suffered a heart-breaking loss to their arch-rivals in their final Henlopen Conference dual meet of the season. In finishing their season at 7-6, Seaford got pins from Grant Gray at 152, Daniel Lloyd at 189, and John Flagg at 215. Seaford trailed 33-27 entering the final match at 171 but was unable to get the pin to tie. Seaford 53, Indian River 15 The Blue Jays used three pins and five forfeits to rise to 7-5 in the Henlopen Conference and overall. The Blue Jays lost to the defending Henlopen Conference Southern Division champions. Seaford got pins from Grant Gray at 152 and Daniel Lloyd at 215 Lake Forest jumped out to an 18-0 lead before Todd Brooke scored Seaford's first points with a decision at 130. Beau Moore recorded a decision for the Blue Jays, as well, at 171. The loss dropped Seaford to 6-5 in the conference and overall. Seaford 64, Woodbridge 8
The Blue Jays took advantage of seven Woodbridge forfeits to rise to 6-4 in the conference and overall with their third straight win. In matches wrestled, the Blue Jays recorded four pins, a technical fall and a major decision. Winning by pin were Ryan West at 112, B.J. Jenkins at 119, Kyle Kilgoe at 125, and Mike Wilson at 145. The Blue Jays used four pins and two major decisions to offset a forfeit at 103 and hold on for the Henlopen Conference victory. Registering pins for Seaford were B.J. Jenkins at 119, Mike DiCarlo at 135, Jason Enders at 140, and Beau Moore at 160. Seaford also got major decisions from Ryan West at 112 and Bobby Drayton at 171. The Blue Jays won five straight matches in the middle weights to take the Henlopen Conference dual meet. From 130 to 152 pounds, the Blue Jays got pins from Mike DiCarlo (135), Mike Wilson (145) and Grant Gray (152) and decisions from Todd Brooks at 130 and Jason Enders at 140. Seaford's other pin came from B.J. Jenkins at 119. Seaford is now 4-4 in the conference and overall. The Blue Jays reeled off nine pins to post the Henlopen Conference triumph. The pins were recoreded by Ryan West at 112, B.J. Jenkins at 119, Todd Brooke at 125, Kyle Kilgore at 130, Mike DiCarlo at 135, Jason Enders at 140, Grant Gray at 152, Daniel Lloyd at 189 and John Flagg at 215. Kilgore recorded the Blue Jays' fastest pin with a fall in 49 seconds. Seaford is now 3-3 in the conference and overall in dual meets. Seaford 41, Cape Henlopen 30
The Blue Jays rolled to the Henlopen Conference win with six pins. Winning by pin were Ryan West at 112, B.J. Jenkins at 119, Jason Enders at 140, Grant Gray at 152, Daniel Lloyd at 189, and Trey Vann at heavyweight. Other winners for the Blue Jays were Todd Brooke at 135 and Beau Moore at 171. Both won by decision. The win over Cape Henlopen raised Seaford's conference dual meet record to 2-3. Caesar Rodney 61, Seaford 7 The Blue Jays became the latest victim of the Caesar Rodney juggernaut in the a Henlopen Conference dual meet. B.J. Jenkins and Grant Gray won their matches at 119 and 152, respectively, for Seaford, which is now 1-3 in dual meets. Sussex Central 58, Seaford 9
The Blue Jays lost the first of two consecutive dual meets against the Henlopen Conference's top teams. B.J. Jenkins won by pin for the Jays at 119, while John Flagg won by decision at 215. Sussex Central recorded five pins. The Jays are now 1-2 in conference dual meets and overall. Seaford 48, Delmar 27
The Blue Jays evened their conference and overall dual meet records at 1-1 with the Henlopen South victory. Seaford broke open a tight match with three straight pins and a technical fall in the middle weights. Mike Dicarlo started the run with a pin at 135 that gave the Jays the lead for good at 18-12. Jason Enders and Mike Wilson then followed up with pins at 140 and 145 for a 30-15 advantage, and Grant Gray posted a technical fall at 152 for a 35-15 lead. Delmar pulled within 35-21 on the second of Seaford's two forfeits, but the Blue Jays overcame that immediately with a major decision by Beau Moore at 171, a pin by Danny Lloyd at 189, and a decision by John Flagg at 215 for an insurmountable 48-21 lead. The Blue Jays ran into a buzz-saw in their season-opening and Henlopen Conference dual meet. Seaford fell behind 30-0 before recording its first victory on a pin by Jason Enders at 140.
