Lake Forest 74, Woodbridge 55

The Blue Raiders concluded their season at 5-14 in the Henlopen Conference and 5-17 overall with the loss to the Southern Division champion. Sharone Sampson finished the season with a flourish as he canned 26 points including 4 three-pointers. Jamily Young added 19 points.

Smyrna 65, Woodbridge 55

The Blue Raiders fell to 5-13 in the Henlopen Conference and 5-16 overall. Jamil Young scored 19 points and Sharone Sampson 17 for the Raiders.

Laurel 71, Woodbridge 49

The Blue Raiders slipped to 5-12 in the Henlopen Conference and 5-15 overall with the loss. Laurel outscored the Raiders 32-21 in the first half and continued to pull away in the second half. A.J. Neal paced Woodbridge with 16 points, while Sharone Sampson added 13.

The Blue Raiders snapped a four-game losing streak with the Henlopen Conference triumph. The Raiders used a balanced scoring attack, with Jamil Young, A.J. Neal and Sharone Sampson scoring 16 points apiece, to subdue Delmar. The Raiders are now 5-11 in the conference and 5-14 overall.

Laurel 59, Woodbridge 49

The Blue Raiders suffered their fourth consecutive loss to fall to 4-11 in the Henlopen Conference and 5-13 overall. Laurel took control of the contest by outscoring Woodbridge 22-12 in the third quarter. Jamil Young paced the Raiders with 18 points. Sharone Sampson and A.J. Neal added 13 and 12 points, respectively.

Indian River 41, Woodbridge 40

The Blue Raiders lost a big lead entering the fourth quarter when IR's Brandon Tindley hit a free throw with 1.1 seconds to go. Woodbridge led Indian River 35-28 going into the fourth period but couldn't hold on. Jamily Young scored 17 points, while A.J. Neal added 10. The Raiders are now 4-10 in the conference and 5-12 overall. Woodbridge hosts Laurel in a conference game on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 7:30 p.m.

Caesar Rodney 80, Woodbridge 70

The Blue Raiders ' Sharone Sampson and Jamil Young combined for 46 points but they weren't enough to prevent a Henlopen Conference loss. Sampson scored 24 points and Young added 22 as Woodbridge fell to 4-9 in the conference and 5-11 overall. A.J. Neal contributed 12 points. Woodbridge visits Indian River in a conference game on Friday, Feb. 8, at 7:30 p.m.

Seaford 73, Woodbridge 69

The Blue Raiders suffered a tough loss to their Henlopen Conference Southern Division rivals after leading 34-28 at halftime. Seaford took a one-point lead into the fourth quarter and held the Raiders off down the stretch. Jamil Young sparked the Raiders with 23 points, while Sharone Sampson and A.J. Neal added 17 and 14 points, respectively.

The Blue Raiders snapped a two-game losing streak with the Henlopen Conference win.

Woodbridge went ahead 32-27 at halftime but Sussex Central pulled within two points entering the fourth quarter.

Sharone Sampson led the Raiders with a game-high 24 points including four of the Raiders' five three-pointers.

Aiding Sampson were Jamil Young with 12 points and A.J. Neal with 10.

The Blue Raiders challenged the Henlopen Confernce Northern Division leaders but ran out of steam in the third quarter.

Woodbridge was tied with Sussex Tech 20-20 after the first quarter and after falling behind by 13 points in the second period, caught up to within 41-40 on a three-pointer by Sharone Sampson early in the third period.

Tech, however, went on a 16-4 run after that and the Raiders couldn't recover.

With 13 points including a pair of three-pointers, Sampson was part of a balanced attack that saw Jamil Young score 15 points and A.J. Neal add 14.

Cape Henlopen 69, Woodbridge 48

The Blue Raiders trailed early and never recovered in the Henlopen Conference game.

Cape Henlopen bolted to an 18-7 lead after the first quarter and expanded its advantage in the second half.

Jamil Young led Woodbridge with 22 points. A.J. Neal and Sharone Sampson contributed 11 points apiece.

The Blue Raiders snapped a five-game losing streak with the Henlopen Conference triumph.

Guard Sharone Sampson sparked the Raiders with 23 points, while Jamil Young and A.J. Neal chipped in with 13 points apiece.

Raymond Smack and Deron Kane added 8 points each, while Emilio Perry put in 7 points for a balanced Raider attack.

Woodbridge built a 38-30 halftime lead and kept up the pressure in the second half.

The Blue Raiders lost their fifth straight game after being tied entering the fourth quarter of the Henlopen Conference contest.

Jamil Young scored a season-high 28 points for the Raiders, but Milford outscored them 27-20 in the final period.

Raymond Smack added 14 points for Woodbridge, which fell to 2-5 in the conference and 3-7 overall.

A.J. Neal contributed 10 points.

The Blue Raiders lost their fourth straight game as they fell further out of the Henlopen Conference Southern Division picture. Dover led 43-32 at halftime and put the game away with a 29-11 advantage in the third quarter. Jamil Young led the Raiders with 22 points. Raymond Smack added 12. The Raiders are now 2-4 in the conference and 3-6 overall.

The Blue Raiders dropped their third straight game in falling to 2-3 in the Henlopen Conference and 3-5 overall.

Sharone Sampson and Jamil Young led Woodbridge with 27 and 19 points, respectively, against the Henlopen South leaders.

The Blue Raiders suffered their worst loss of the season under a barrage of three-pointers by Smyrna's Aaron Watson.

Watson scored 28 points thanks to 8 three-pointers to lead Smyrna to its first win of the year.

Woodbridge, which trailed 43-26 at halftime and was then outscored 18-6 in the third quarter, was led by Jamil Young's 26 points. Sharone Sampson contributed 9 more points.

Tatnall 67, Woodbridge 60

The Blue Raiders saw their two-game winning streak snapped when they got off to a slow start in the championship game of the Bohemia Tournament.

In falling to 3-3 overall, the Raiders scored only 3 points in the first quarter and never quite caught up.

Woodbridge outscored Tatnall 21-15 in the second period to pull within 29-24 at halftime but Tatnall outscored Woodbridge by 4 points in the third period.

Jamil Young led Woodbridge with 24 points in the championship game to earn a spot on the all-tournament team along with teammate Raymond Smack.

Smack scored 10 points against Tatnall, while Sharone Sampson contributed 14 points and A.J. Neal scored 9.

Woodbride 74, Perryville (Md.) 57

The Blue Raiders cruised to their second straight victory and advanced to the championship game of the Bohemia Manor (Md.) Holiday Tournament.

Woodbridge jumped to a 39-28 halftime lead and closed the game out with a 22-15 edge in the fourth period.

Sharone Sampson sparked the Raiders with 23 points including a three-pointer. Jamil Young and Raymond Smack added 17 and 14 points, respectively.

Woodbridge is now 3-2 overall.

Woodbridge 73, Delmar 55

The Blue Raiders got big contributions from several players and broke open a close game at halftime by outscoring Delmar 41-25 in the second half of the Henlopen Conference Southern Division contest.

Sharone Sampson led four Raiders in double figures with 18 points while Jamil Young and Raymond Smack controlled the boards as the Raiders rose to 2-1 in the conference and 2-2 overall.

Young collected 17 rebounds to go with 16 points and Smack grabbed 18 rebounds to go with his 13 points. A.J. Neal also scored 13 points.

Indian River 45, Woodbridge 42

The Blue Raiders lost a four-point lead entering the fourth quarter in suffering their first loss of the season. Raymond Smack scored 12 points to lead Woodbridge, which fell to 1-1 in the Henlopen Conference and overall. A.J. Neal and Sharone Sampson scored 9 points apiece. The Raiders were tied with Indian River with less than three minutes left but Indian guard Paul Williamson sank a three-pointer with 2:45 remaining to give IR the lead for good.

The Blue Raiders won the battle of Henlopen Conference Southern Division rivals with a big fourth quarter.

Woodbridge led 52-49 entering the fourth quarter and put the game away with a 32-point outburst in the final period.

Leading the way for the Raiders were Jamil Young and Sharone Sampson with 18 points apiece.

Also in double figures were A.J. Neal with 16 points, Emilio Perry with 12 points, and Raymond Smack with 10.
