152-Pound Champion
Seaford's Grant Gray captured his first Henlopen Conference championship when he pinned Smyrna's Scott Cahall in 3:51 in the 152-pound final.
Gray, who head coach Dave Rogers said in pre-season had the potential to be a conference champion, reversed Cahall in the second period and then stuck him.
Gray started the tourney with a 44-second pin of Cape Henlopen's Ray Tartal in the quarterfinals. He reached the finals with a 12-10 decision over Caesar Rodney's Steve Crew in the semifinals.
Gray enters the state tournament at Delaware State University next weekend with a 29-5 overall record this year.
He also won the Christina Tournament and finished second in the Seaford Invitational this season. He finished fourth last year in the conference at 145.
