Milford 41, Sussex Central 26
The Golden Knights' rebuilding struggles continued as they suffered their first loss to Milford since 1990 and only their second loss to the Bucs in the past 22 years.
Central fell behind 23-6 and 34-11 in the dual meet and couldn't recover.
Heavweight Matt King won by injury default for Central, while Josh Lowe scored a technical fall at 125, Jason Dickerson posted a decision at 145, and Brett Cordrey registered a pin at 160.
Sussex Central 48, Sussex Tech 22
The Golden Knights rolled past their cross-town rivals in a Henlopen Conference Northern Division dual meet.
Central and Sussex Tech traded two forfeits apiece, but Central had already built an insurmountable lead by the time it gave Tech forfeits at 189 and 215 in the night's final matches.
After a loss in the first match of the night at heavyweight, Central reeled off eight straight victories including the forfeits.
The run started with an overtime decision by Brian Walker at 103, continued with consecutive pins by Mike Timmins at 112 and Cody Pepper at 119, the forfeits at 125 and 130, and back-to-back pins again by Richard Dondarski at 135 and Matt West at 140.
A decision by Jason Dickerson at 145 gave Central an insurmountable 42-4 lead. Justin Illian recorded the Knights' final points with a pin at 171.
Central is now 3-1 in the Henlopen North and 7-2 overall.
Caesar Rodney 60, Sussex Central 8
The Golden Knights' hopes for a Henlopen Conference Northern Division title with the loss to the seven-time Henlopen North champs at the University of Delaware.
Battling injuries that required the Knights to forfeit the 189 and 215 weight classes, Central managed only two wins against a CR program that has now won 108 straight regular season dual meets.
Josh Lowe decisioned CR's Nick Ganley 9-3 at 125 pounds and Richard Dondarski scored a technical fall over the Riders' Matt Shelor at 130.
Dondarski's win pulled the Knights within 15-8, but CR won out from there.
Central is now 6-2 overall and 2-1 in the Henlopen North.
Sussex Central 35, Lake Forest 33
The Golden Knights fought off injuries and a forfeit to earn a hard-fought Henlopen Conference triumph in dramatic fashion when Richard Dondarski scored a technical fall in the final match of the night.
Dondarski's victory in the 130-pound bout lifted Central from a 33-30 deficit and to a 6-1 record in dual meets.
The Knights started fast as they built a 25-9 lead with back-to-back pins by Brett Cordrey at 171 and Justin Illian at 189. Before that, Matt West won by major decision at 135, Jason Dickerson by technical fal at 140, and Josh Cameron by a major decision at 152.
Lake Forest, however, sandwiched a forfeit, a pin, a technical fall and a major decision around a pin by Central heavyweight Justin King to go up 33-30 entering the final match.
The win raised Central to 6-1 in dual meets.
Smyrna 47, Sussex Central 21
The rebuilding and undermanned Golden Knights suffered an upset loss against the defending Henlopen Conference Southern Division champion.
In enduring their first defeat of the season, Central, missing three starters, lost 10 of the 14 matches.
It was the Knights' first loss to a conference opponent other than Caesar Rodney in the past four seasons.
The Knights fell behind 17-0 before Justin Illian recorded their first win of the evening with a pin at 189.
Smyrna then won the next five matches with three pins, a forfeit and a decision to go up 44-6 and put the outcome out of reach.
Richard Dondarski and Jason Dickerson registered pins for the Knights at 130 and 140, respectively. Josh Lowe won by decision in overtime at 125.
Central is now 5-1 in dual meets.
Sussex Central 62, Delmar 10
The Golden Knights won 12 of the 14 matches in cruising to their fifth straight win as they tuned up for a big dual meet against Smyrna.
Central won the first 11 matches before surrendering a forfeit to Delmar at 189.
Registering pins for the Knights were Mike Timmons at 112, Cody Pepper at 119, Richard Dondarski at 130, Matt West at 135, Jason Dickerson at 140, C.T. Baker at 145, Josh Cameron at 152, and Justin King at heavyweight.
Other Knight winners included Justin Illian and Brett Cordrey. Illian won by technical fall at 171 and Cordrey won by major decision at 160.
J.T. Walker and Josh Lowe won by decisions at 103 and 125, respectively.
Sussex Central 63, Indian River 12
The Golden Knights rolled to their fourth consecutive dual meet win in four outings as they easily defeated Indian River. Central won four matches by forfeit and five by pin, with Mike Timmons (112), Cody Pepper (119), Jason Dickerson (140), Josh Cameron (152) and Brett Cordrey (160) registering the pins.
Sussex Central 77, Woodbridge 0
The Golden Knights had no trouble as they scored the shutout over winless Woodbridge.
In addition to five forfeits, the Knights also got pins from Mike Timmons at 112, Josh Lowe at 125, Richard Dondarski at 130, Jason Dickerson at 140, Brett Cordrey at 160, and Justin Illian at 171.
Jordan Dickerson posted a technical fall at 145. Kevin VanVorst (152) and Pepper (119) recorded decisions.
Sussex Central 55, Dover 23
The Golden Knights remained unbeaten while handing Dover its first loss of the season with a Henlopen Conference Northern Division victory.
Central scored 34 straight points in one stretch to take an insurmountable 40-6 lead.
Cody Pepper started that streak with a major decision at 119 pounds and Josh Lowe followed with a late pin at 125. The Knights then polished Dover off with four more pins in less than six minutes.
Richard Dondarski recorded a pin at 130 in 1:58, Matt West registered a pin at 135 in 1:10, Jason Dickerson won by pin at 140 in 1:04, and Jordan Dickerson posted a pin at 145 in 1:46.
Brett Cordrey (160) and Justin King (Hwt.) also recorded pins for the Knights, who also won the 171-pound bout when Justin Illian scored a takedown with just three seconds left for a 4-3 victory.
Sussex Central 53, Polytech 15
The Golden Knights opened their dual meet season with a convincing Henlopen Conference Northern Division triumph.
The defending Henlopen tournament champions lost the first two matches by pin but won 11 of the next 12 matches to win going away.
Josh Lowe (125), Matt West (135), Justin Illian (171) and Justin King (Hwt.) won their matches by pin. King pinned his opponent in just 40 seconds.
