The Blue Jays fell behind by double digits at halftime and couldn't recover against the Henlopen Conference Northern Division leaders. Seaford fell behind Sussex Central 37-25 at the half and was then outscored 22-10 in the fourth quarter. Tykee Williams' 16 points led the Jays. Marque Edouard added 9 points.
Dover 65, Seaford 48
The Blue Jays couldn't get anything going against one of the top teams in the Henlopen Conference Northern Division. Now 9-5 in the conference and 11-6 overall, Seaford got 8 points apiece from Virgil Greene, Hassan Philmore and Tykee Williams. Seaford had beaten Dover earlier in the season.
Seaford 63, Laurel 61
The Blue Jays got a big win toward their state tournament hopes as they knocked off the Henlopen Conference Southern Division leaders in a come-from-behind effort.
With Marque Edouard's free throw with six seconds remaining giving Seaford the points it needed, the Jays rose to 9-4 in the conference and 11-5 overall in their best season in recent years.
Edouard had a monster game with 22 points and 21 rebounds. Hassan Philmore and Virgil Greene scored 11 points apiece for Seaford.
The Blue Jays fell behind Laurel 31-20 at halftime but began their comeback with a 22-17 edge in the third period. They then outscored the Bulldogs by 8 points, 21-13, in the final quarter.
Seaford 58, Indian River 56
The Blue Jays didn't score in the game's final 1:14 but managed to hold on to survive a last-second shot for the Henlopen Conference triumph.
Seaford scored its final points with 1:14 left to go up 58-54, but Indian River pulled within 58-56 on a basket with 50 seconds remaining.
The Indians then had a final chance to tie the game as time ran out but their shot missed the mark.
The game was close throughout with Seaford trailing 29-27 at halftime and 42-41 after three quarters.
Marque Edouard led the Jays with 22 points. Jeremey Palmer contributed 9 points and Virgil Greene and Hassan Philmore added 8 points apiece.
Seaford 65, Woodbridge 38
The Blue Jays jumped out to a big lead early and finished the Henlopen Conference contest off in the third quarter.
Seaford went up on Woodbridge 31-18 at halftime and outscored the Raiders 17-2 in the third quarter.
Tykee Williams' 18 points sparked Seaford, which rose to 7-4 in the conference and 9-5 overall.
Marque Edouard collected 14 points and 21 rebounds for the Jays. Jeremy Palmer and Hassan Philmore added 8 points each.
Milford 51, Seaford 46
The Blue Jays couldn't get their high flying offense untracked as their five-game winning streak came to an end.
Seaford, which averaged 78 points a game in its previous three games, was held in check all night by Milford.
The Jays didn't score more than 16 points in any quarter as they fell to 6-4 in the Henlopen Conference and 8-5 overall.
Virgil Greene was the only Blue Jay in double figures as he scored 16 points. Jeremy Palmer added 8 points.
Seaford 73, Lake Forest 41
The Blue Jays rolled to their fifth straight victory behind a big third quarter.
Leading just 26-24 at halftime, Seaford exploded for 30 points in the third period to win the Henlopen Conference matchup.
Marque Edouard led four players in double figures with a game-high 20 points.
Also in double figures were Correy Savage with 16 points, Britt Williams with 15 points, and Jeremy Palmer with 12.
Seaford is now 6-3 in the conference and 8-4 overall.
Seaford 75, Smyrna 73
The Blue Jays started fast, slumped in the middle and finished fast to pull out their fourth consecutive victory.
Seaford took a 45-31 lead into halftime only to be outscored by Smyrna 24-7 in the third period.
The period included a 16-0 Smyrna run that turned a 52-39 Seaford lead into a 55-52 deficit going into the fourth quarter.
The Blue Jays, now 5-3 in the Henlopen Conference and 7-4 overall, got 12 points apiece from Correy Savage and Virgil Greene. Also in double figures were Tykee Williams with 11 points and Hassan Philmore, Jeremy Palmer and Marque Edouard with 10 points each.
Palmer put Seaford ahead for good, at 65-63, on a three-pointer with 3:12 remaining in the game.
Seaford 86, Delmar 60
Seaford continued its mid-season spurt with its third straight victory.
The Blue Jays started quickly and continued to build on their lead over Delmar in rising to 4-3 in the Henlopen Conference and 6-4 overall.
Virgil Greene led four players in double figures with 20 points. Marque Edouard added 15 points and Jeremy Palmer and Britt Williams contributed 12 points apiece as the Jays recorded their season-high for points.
Seaford 61, Cape Henlopen 58
The Blue Jays picked up their second straight win to rise above the .500 mark.
In recording the Henlopen Conference Northern Division victory, the Jays rose to 5-4 overall and 3-3 in the conference.
Seaford outscored Cape Henlopen 24-8 in the third quarter to take a commanding 46-33 lead only to see Cape roar back in the fourth quarter.
Seaford was led by Britt Williams' season-high 28 points. It was the second straight game that Williams eclipsed his season-high.
Marque Edouard and Jeremy Palmer scored 10 points apiece. Haasan Philmore contributed 8 points.
Seaford 68, Polytech 54
The Blue Jays snapped a three-game losing streak and climbed back to the .500 level with the Henlopen Conference Northern Division victory.
Britt Williams dropped a season-high 22 points on Polytech as Seaford rose to 2-3 in the conference and 4-4 overall.
Williams was joined in double figures by Virgil Greene with 13 points and Tykee Williams with 11 points. Tykee Williams hit 3 of the Blue Jays' 6 three-pointers.
The Blue Jays took command of the game in the second period with a 21-9 advantage. Jeremy Palmer added 8 points for the Jays.
Sussex Tech 75, Seaford 67
The Blue Jays continued to falter as they suffered their third straight loss in the Henlopen Conference Northern Division.
Below .500 for the first time this season, Seaford dropped to 1-3 in the conference and 3-4 overall.
Seaford fell behind 41-30 at halftime after being outscored 25-15 by Sussex Tech in the second quarter.
Marque Edouard paced the Blue Jays with 15 points. Britt Williams and Jeremy Palmer added 12 points apiece.
Sussex Central 69, Seaford 58
The Blue Jays suffered their second straight loss as they couldn't overcome an early deficit against the unbeaten Henlopen Conference Northern Division leaders.
Seaford fell behind Sussex Central 35-23 at halftime and although the Jays pulled within 7 points in the fourth quarter but couldn't make it back all the way.
The Jays were led by guard Virgil Greene's 17 points. Hassan Phillmore contributed 13 points and DeShaun Scott added 11.
Seaford is now 1-2 in the conference and 3-3 overall.
Caesar Rodney 75, Seaford 65
The Blue Jays' two-game winning streak came to an end after a disastrous second quarter in a Henlopen Conference Northern Division defeat.
Seaford trailed CR by just two points after the first period but was outscored 23-13 in the second period and never recovered.
Now 1-1 in the conference and 3-2 overall, the Blue Jays put four players in double figures led by Marques Edouard's 16 points. Hassan Philmore, Britt Williams and Virgil Greene added 15, 14 and 13 more points, respectively.
The Jays connected on 6 three-pointers, with Greene draining three and Philmore two. Williams knocked down the other.
Seaford 64, Dover 55
Guard Virgil Greene put together a big game to lead the Blue Jays to a win in the Henlopen Conference Northern Division contest.
Greene totalled 21 points, 10 assists and 6 rebounds to spark the victory as Seaford improved to 2-1 in the conference and 3-1 overall.
Hassan Philmore and Britt Williams contributed 13 and 11 points, respectively.
The Jays host Caesar Rodney in another Henlopen North game on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at 7:30 p.m.
Seaford 43, William Penn 38
Guard Virgil Greene paced the Blue Jays to the non-conference win with 20 points. Forward Britt Williams added 10 more points as Seaford improved to 2-1 overall.

The Blue Jays dropped the championship game of the season-opening boys' basketball tournament at A.I. DuPont. Seaford is now 1-1 overall.
Tiger Tip-Off Classic Seaford 64, A.I. DuPont 59
The Blue Jays roared out of the starting gate in their season-opener and then held on for a first round win in the Tiger Tip-Off Classic at A.I. DuPont.
Seaford jumped out to a 23-10 advantage after the first period and held off the Tigers down the stretch.
Palmer sparked the Blue Jays with 21 points. Britt Williams scored 18 points for the Jays, who also got 9 points from Marque Edouard and 8 from Virgil Greene.
Williams sank two of Seaford's four three-pointers.
