Sussex Central 48, Sussex Tech 22
The Ravens lost eight straight matches in the Henlopen Conference Northern Division defeat.
After heavyweight A.J. Brooks gave Tech a 4-0 lead in the first match of the night with a major decision, Sussex Central reeled off eight straight victories to build an insurmountable 42-4 lead.
The run included a pair of forfeits by Tech, which got those points back when Central forfeited the 189 and 215 matches.
After Central's win, Tech got its other two wins of the evening with a decision by Carlson at 152 and another decision by Anthony Baron at 160.
Caesar Rodney 71, Sussex Tech 3
The Ravens managed only one win -- a decision by Anthony Baron at 160 -- in the loss to the seven-time defending Henlopen Conference regular season champions. The Ravens forfeited five matches.
Smyrna 59, Sussex Tech 15
The Ravens couldn't match up with the Henlopen Conference Southern Division powerhouse.
Tech pulled within 15-12 on pins by Andy Lee at 189 and A.J. Brooks at heavyweight, but Smyrna reeled off seven straight wins including two pins, a technical fall and three forfeits to take a commanding 48-12 advantage.
Matt Davis got the Ravens' other victory with a decision at 145.
Sussex Tech 54, Delmar 15
The Ravens trailed early but won the dual meet's last nine matches.
Tech fell behind Delmar 15-8 after the 130-pound bout but starting with a pin by Stephens at 130, reeled off victories in the last nine bouts to win going away.
Also recording pins for the Ravens were Carlson at 152, Andy Lee at 189, Eddie Vicks at 215 and A.J. Brooks at heavyweight.
The Ravens also got technical falls from Adam Dickerson at 119, Brooks Anderson at 140 and Anthony Baron at 160.
Matt Davis won by decision in his match at 145, as did McCollan at 112 and Collins at 171.
Laurel 53, Sussex Tech 13
The Ravens held a short-lived lead before falling in the Henlopen Conference dual meet.
Tech, on a pin by Andy Lee at 189 and a major decision by A.J. Brooks at heavyweight, took a 10-7 lead over Laurel before things fell apart.
After Brooks' victory, Laurel ripped off seven straight victories, including four pins and a forfeit, to take an insurmountable 40-7 advantage.
Tech's last victory came at 145, where Matt Davis registered a decision.
Indian River 34, Sussex Tech 31
The Ravens split the 14 matches but lost on three Indian River pins.
Tech fell behind 25-6 early in the dual meet and after closing within 25-21 on a pin by Anthony Baron at 160, was eliminated from contention as an IR pin and decision made the deficit 34-21 with just two matches remaining.
Besides Baron, Eddie Vicks registered a pin at 215 and A.J. Brooks posted a major decision at heavyweight.
Winning by decision for the Ravens were Brooks Anderson at 140 and Matt Davis at 145.
Milford 49, Sussex Tech 18
The Ravens took it on the chin against the Henlopen Conference Southern Division power.
The Ravens won only four matches as they fell quickly behind Milford, 31-3, and never recovered.
Anthony Baron recorded a pin at 160 and Andy Lee registered a pin at 189 for Tech, which also got decisions from A.J. Brooks at heavyweight and Brooks Anderson at 140.
Sussex Tech 42, Dover 26
The Ravens used back-to-back pins by Brooks Anderson and Matt Davis to break open a tight Henlopen Conference Northern Division dual meet and record their second straight win.
Tech led 24-20 after the 135-pound bout but expanded that lead to 36-20 on the pins by Anderson at 140 and Davis at 145.
Also registering pins for the Ravens were Adam Dickerson at 112 and A.J. Brooks at heavyweight.
Tech is now 3-1 in the Henlopen North and overall.
Sussex Tech 37, Seaford 36
The Ravens opened a large lead and then survived a furious comeback for their first victory of the season.
Tech used pins by A.J. Brooks at heavyweight and Smalls at 103 plus a pair of forfeits at 112 and 119 to forge a 37-16 advantage with four matches remaining in the Henlopen Conference Northern Division dual meet.
But Seaford rallied with two pins and a technical fall to pull within 37-33. Brooks Anderson then lost in the final match of the night at 140 but his 10-7 defeat still preserved the victory for Tech, which overcame an early 16-13 deficit.
Matt Davis started the match for the Ravens with a major decision at 145, while Anthony Baron and Andy Lee followed with a pin at 160 and a major decision at 189, respectively.
Polytech 42, Sussex Tech 28
The Ravens dropped their second Henlopen Conference Northern Division dual meet to start the season.
Starting at the 152-pound bout, Tech kept pace with Polytech for a 15-15 tie after the first six matches.
Polytech then opened up some breathing room, however, with pins at 103 and 112 and a forfeit at 125.
Matt Davis and Andy Lee made quick work of their opponents with pins in less than a minute at 145 and 189, respectively. A.J. Brooks had Tech's other pin at heavyweight.
Anthony Baron recorded a dramatic 9-7 victory in overtime at 160 pounds.
Cape Henlopen 40, Sussex Tech 27
The Ravens started off strong but couldn't finish in a season-opening Henlopen Conference Northern Division dual meet defeat.
Tech got off to a roaring start as it bolted to a 27-7 lead on a pin by A.J. Brooks in the heavyweight match.
Cape Henlopen, however, reeled off victories in each of the final seven matches to pull out the win.
Tech started off with an overtime decision by Matt Davis at 145.
Following a major decison by Cape, the Ravens then won three straight matches on pins by Jay Bradford at 160, Anthony Baron at 171 and Andy Lee at 189.
Cape broke the string with a decision at 215, but the Ravens upped their advantage to 27-7 on Brooks' pin.
