Laurel 72, Milford 67 (OT) The Bucs overcame a seven-point halftime deficit to force overtime but were outscored 10-5 in the extra period in the Henlopen South loss. Kevin Kimbrough's 19 points led Milford, which also got 10 points from David Brinkley. Milford 55, Cape Henlopen 52 The Bucs won in dramatic fashion on Jonathan Webb's three-pointer at the buzzer. The victory stopped a two-game losing streak for Milford and raised its records to 2-6 in the Henlopen South and overall. Sussex Central 68, Milford 56 (OT) The Buccaneers lost a seven-point lead with less than two minutes left in regulation and were then outscored 16-4 in overtime to lose their upset bid. Now 1-6 in the Henlopen South and overall, the Bucs were led by Jonathan Webb's 10 points. John Harper added 9 points. Milford attempted only 9 free throws while Sussex Central attempted 38 and made 21. Lake Forest 50, Milford 42 Milford gave the defending Henlopen South champions a battle but Lake Forest took control down the stretch. The Bucs trailed by just 22-21 at halftime and 32-29 after three quarters. Kevin Kimbrough broke into double figures for the first time this season with 13 points. Jonathan Webb added 9 points for the 1-5 Bucs. Milford 60, Smyrna 53 The Buccaneers registered their first victory behind Jonathan Webb's 15 points. Milford led 31-30 at halftime and gradually pulled away from the winless Eagles in the second half to rise to 1-4 in the Henlopen Soutn and overall. Brandon Sharpe added 10 points and Vincent Leggins and David Brinkley chipped in with 9 points apiece. Delmar 57, Milford 54 The Bucs fell to 0-4 in the Henlopen South and overall when Delmar's Ian Hudson hit a baseline jumper with 29 seconds left. Milford put three players in double figures with 10 points apiece -- Vincent Leggins, David Brinkley and Brandon Sharpe. The Bucs led 42-38 after three quarters but couldn't hold on. Laurel 60, Milford 47 The young Bucs continued to suffer growing pains as they fell to 0-3 in the Henlopen South and overall. Jonathan Webb and John Harper led Milford with 13 and 12 points, respectively, including a three-pointer apiece. Indian River 60, Milford 57 After qualifying for the state tournament a year ago, the Bucs are off to a slow start including this Henlopen South loss, which broke Indian River's 25-game losing streak.
