Kevin Kimbro scored a game-high 11 points in a game in which 11 Bucs scored. In rising to 9-9 in the Henlopen South and 10-11 overall, the Bucs outscored New Castle Baptist 43-16 over the second and third quarters. Robert Drummond, Vincent Leggins and Jonathan Webb scored 8 points apiece for Milford.
Milford 67, Lake Forest 61 (OT)
The Bucs continued their late-season surge with a win over the Henlopen South leader. Brandon Sharpe's 17 points sparked Milford, which rose to 8-9 in the division and 8-11 overall. Teammates Vincent Leggin and Jonathan Webb contributed 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Smyrna 58, Milford 54
Milford led 38-32 after three quarters but fell victim to a 26-point outburst by Smyrna in the fourth quarter. The Bucs hit 5 three-pointers in the game including 1 by leading scorer Jonathan Webb and 3 by Kevin Kimbrough. Webb finished with 14 pointsa and Kimbrough with 12.
Milford 65, Delmar 49
The Bucs rose to 7-8 in the Henlopen South and 7-9 overall with the victory. Kevin Kimbrough's 14 points paced Milford. Jonathan Webb added 12 points and Dorian Riddick contributed 11. The Bucs blew the game open by jumping to a 33-18 halftime lead. Webb nailed 3 three-pointers and Kimbrough sank 2 more.
Laurel 72, Milford 67 (OT)
The Bucs overcame a seven-point halftime deficit to force overtime but were outscored 10-5 in the extra period in the Henlopen South loss. Kevin Kimbrough's 19 points led Milford, which also got 10 points from David Brinkley.
Milford 55, Cape Henlopen 52
The Bucs won in dramatic fashion on Jonathan Webb's three-pointer at the buzzer. Webb finished with 10 points for Milford. Kevin Kimbrough and Brandon Sharpe sparked the Bucs with 12 points apiece.
Milford 73, Indian River 50
The Bucs routed the Indians to rise to 5-7 in the Henlopen South and 5-8 overall. Kevin Kimbrough's 17 points sparked Milford, which outscored IR 18-7 in the third period to break the game open. Kimbrough nailed 3 three-pointers in the game. DeRanz Wright contributed 11 more points for Milford.
Woodbridge 71, Milford 66
The Bucs got 3 three-pointers from Kevin Kimbrough but couldn't convert them into a victory in the Henlopen South contest. Kimbrough led Milford with 17 points. David Brinkley and Brandon Sharpe scored 12 points apiece.
Milford 67, Seaford 55
Milford continued its mid-season surge with its third consecutive victory over a Henlopen North opponent. In rising to 4-6 in the Henlopen South and overall, the Bucs got 15 points from Dorian Riddick and 14 from John Harper. The Bucs took control by outscoring Seaford 43-23 in the second half.
Milford 68, Dover 60
John Harper continued his hot streak with his second straight 20-point game. Harper's 21 points led three Bucs in double figures. David Brinkley and Dorian Riddick added 16 and 11 points, respectively, as Milford rose to 3-6 in the Henlopen South and overall. The Bucs led just 47-46 after three quarters but broke the game open in the final period.
Milford 72, Caesar Rodney 67
The Bucs recorded their highest point total of the season as John Harper scored a season-high 20 points to lead four players in double figures. Also in double figures were Vincent Leggins with 12 points and Jonathan Webb and Brandon Sharpe with 10 points apiece. The victory stopped a two-game losing streak for Milford and raised its records to 2-6 in the Henlopen South and overall.
Sussex Central 68, Milford 56 (OT)
The Buccaneers lost a seven-point lead with less than two minutes left in regulation and were then outscored 16-4 in overtime to lose their upset bid. Now 1-6 in the Henlopen South and overall, the Bucs were led by Jonathan Webb's 10 points. John Harper added 9 points. Milford attempted only 9 free throws while Sussex Central attempted 38 and made 21.
Lake Forest 50, Milford 42
Milford gave the defending Henlopen South champions a battle but Lake Forest took control down the stretch. The Bucs trailed by just 22-21 at halftime and 32-29 after three quarters. Kevin Kimbrough broke into double figures for the first time this season with 13 points. Jonathan Webb added 9 points for the 1-5 Bucs.
Milford 60, Smyrna 53
The Buccaneers registered their first victory behind Jonathan Webb's 15 points. Milford led 31-30 at halftime and gradually pulled away from the winless Eagles in the second half to rise to 1-4 in the Henlopen Soutn and overall. Brandon Sharpe added 10 points and Vincent Leggins and David Brinkley chipped in with 9 points apiece.
Delmar 57, Milford 54
The Bucs fell to 0-4 in the Henlopen South and overall when Delmar's Ian Hudson hit a baseline jumper with 29 seconds left. Milford put three players in double figures with 10 points apiece -- Vincent Leggins, David Brinkley and Brandon Sharpe. The Bucs led 42-38 after three quarters but couldn't hold on.
Laurel 60, Milford 47
The young Bucs continued to suffer growing pains as they fell to 0-3 in the Henlopen South and overall. Jonathan Webb and John Harper led Milford with 13 and 12 points, respectively, including a three-pointer apiece.
Indian River 60, Milford 57
After qualifying for the state tournament a year ago, the Bucs are off to a slow start including this Henlopen South loss, which broke Indian River's 25-game losing streak. David Brinkley and Jonathan Webb scored 16 and 15 points, respectively, for Milford, which watched a 10-point halftime lead slip away to fall to 0-2 overall and in the South.
Woodbridge 69, Milford 58
Milford fell behind by 24 points in the third quarter before staging a furious rally that ran out of gas. The Bucs, led by Brandon Sharpe's team-high 12 points, pulled within 60-57 with 3:20 remaining but were outscored 9-1 the rest of the way in the Henlopen Conference Southern Division opener.
