Wednesday, March 1, 2000 Cape Henlopen 63, Milford 53 The Bucs' season ended at 9-11 despite big efforts from Kenya Alexander and Adrienne Bennett. Alexander scored 24 points and hit 4 three-pointers while Bennett contributed 19 points. Milford lost the game in the second quarter when it was outscored 12-4 to fall behind 29-16 at halftime. Cape Henlopen 49, Milford 40 Kenya Alexander's 18 points weren't enough for Milford. The Bucs trailed just 36-32 after three quarters but couldn't keep pace with Cape down the stretch and fell to 8-9 in the Henlopen South and 9-10 overall. Milford 45, Lake Forest 34 The Bucs got 24 points from Adrienne Bennett in rising to 8-7 in the Henlopen South and 9-8 overall. Kenya Alexander added 12 more points for Milford, which used a 14-4 advantage in the fourth quarter to break open what was a 31-30 game after three quarters. Milford 27, Smyrna 25 The Bucs won the game on a layup by Adrienne Bennett with just 1 second left. Milford scored only 8 points in the first half but recovered in time to rise to 7-7 in the Henlopen South and 9-7 overall. Bennett led the way for Milford with 11 points. Nancy Fry added 7 more. Milford 44, Delmar 40 The Bucs took a four-point lead at halftime and made it stick in the Henlopen South victory. Alicia Bennett and Kenya Alexander led the way for Milford with 15 and 14 points, respectively. Milford rose to 6-7 in the South and 8-7 overall. Laurel 34, Milford 30 The Bucs overcame a 6-point halftime deficit to forge a tie entering the final period but couldn't sustain their momentum in the fourth quarter in the Henlopen South defeat. Sussex Central 39, Milford 35 The Bucs lost a four-point lead entering the fourth quarter to slip to 5-3 in the Henlopen South and 6-3 overall. Kenya Alexander's 16 points paced Milford. Tiria Daniels scored 10 more. Milford 50, Lake Forest 27 Milford rose to 5-2 in the Henlopen South and 6-2 overall with the easy win. Kenya Alexander guided the Bucs with 18 points. Teammate Adrienne Bennett chipped in with 13. The Bucs held Lake Forest to 3 points in the first quarter and never looked back. Milford 37, Smyrna 36 The Bucs survived a late rally by the Eagles in the Henlopen South contest. Milford led 32-22 entering the fourth period but barely escaped after being outscored 14-5 in the fourth. Kenya Alexander led the Bucs with 13 points. Adrienne Bennett and Nancy Fry added 11 and 10 points, respectively. Milford 49, Dover 35 The Bucs won the non-conference game between the two Henlopen North schools behind a 20-4 edge in the second period for a 28-14 halftime lead. Adrienne Bennett led Milford with 19 points, while Kenya Alexander contributed 10 more as the Bucs rose to 3-2 overall. Milford 57, Delmar 29 The Bucs snapped a two-game losing streak by jumping out to a 34-10 halftime lead. Kenya Alexander and Adrienne Bennett were the high scorers for Milford with 21 and 20 points, respectively. The Bucs are now 2-2 in the Henlopen South and 2-2 overall. Laurel 46, Milford 33 The Bucs were outscored by 9 points in the fourth period. Kenya Alexander's 13 points led Milford, which fell to 1-2 in the Henlopen South and overall.
