The Blue Jays rose to 5-14 in the Henlopen North and 6-14 overall behind 20-point efforts from Courtney Griffin and Brent Evans. Griffin led Seaford with 27 points while Evans added 20. The Blue Jays outscored Polytech 25-12 in the fourth quarter to pull away. Evans and Jamar Gamble hit 3 three-pointers apiece as Seaford sank 9 in the game. Gamble finished with 11 points.
Dover 93, Seaford 79
The Blue Jays led after the first quarter but were outscored 54-36 over the second and third periods. Seaford hit 8 three-pointers including 4 by Jamar Gamble and 2 by Brent Evans. Courtney Griffin led the Jays with 15 points. Evans and Gamble scored 14 and 12 points, respectively. Seaford fell to 5-13 in the Henlopen North and overall.
Caesar Rodney 96, Seaford 79
The Blue Jays became the seventh straight victim of the Riders despite a game-high 33 points from swingman Courtney Griffin. C.J. Scott added 12 points but Seaford dropped to 5-12 in the Henlopen North and overall. The Blue Jays were outscored 24-14 in the third period.
Seaford 66, Lake Forest 65
Seaford rose to 5-11 in the Henlopen North and overall with the upset victory over the Henlopen South leaders. Forward Courtney Griffin scored 26 points and Brent Evans pumped in 21 more for the Blue Jays. Two free throws by Larry Savage gave Seaford a 66-63 lead with 6 seconds left. Lake Forest missed a three-pointer but tipped in the miss at the buzzer to account for the final score. Seaford led 28-23 at halftime after outscoring Lake Forest 16-5 in the second period. Evans scored 10 of his points in the third period and Griffin scored 8 of his in the fourth quarter.
Sussex Central 74, Seaford 67
The Blue Jays fell behind 42-26 at halftime and couldn't quite recover. Courtney Griffin's 25 points and Brent Evans' 21 points led Seaford. C.J. Scott added 16 more as the trio combined for 62 of the Blue Jays' 67 points.
Sussex Tech 106, Seaford 70
The Blue Jays fell to 4-10 overall and in the conference with the loss to the Henlopen North leaders. Brent Evans paced Seaford with 23 points including 4 three-pointers. Courtney Griffin and C.J. Scott added 17 and 16 points, respectively.
Seaford 79, Delmar 75
The Blue Jays held off Delmar's charge down the stretch behind C.J. Scott, who scored 11 of his 16 points in the final period. Brent Evans and Courtney Griffin helped spark Seaford to a 31-16 halftime lead. Evans scored 26 points while Griffin finished with 22.
Cape Henlopen 78, Seaford 71
The Blue Jays were outscored 25-15 in the second period and couldn't make up the deficit in the Henlopen North loss. Courtney Griffin and Brent Evans led Seaford with 21 and 20 points, respectively. C.J. Scott added 11 more.
Milford 67, Seaford 55
The Blue Jays dropped to 2-8 in the Henlopen North and overall after losing an 8-point halftime lead. Seaford was outscored 25-11 in the third period and 43-23 in the second half. Courtney Griffin, the conference's fourth-leading scorer, scored a game-high 26 points. Wayne Kenton and Brent Evans added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Woodbridge 74, Seaford 59
Brent Evans and Courtney Griffin scored 19 and 18 points, respectively, but it wasn't nearly enough for the Blue Jays. In falling to 2-7 in the Henlopen North and overall, the Blue Jays were outscored 27-15 in the second period and never recovered.
Seaford 76, Indian River 69
The Blue Jays broke a two-game losing streak behind Brent Evans' 24 points and Courtney Griffin's 23 points. Seaford had to rally from a 13-point third period deficit to rise to 2-6 in the Henlopen North and overall. C.J. Scott contributed 13 more points for the Blue Jays.
Polytech 74, Seaford 69 (OT)
The Blue Jays ran out of steam in overtime to fall to 1-6 in the Henlopen North and 2-7 overall. Courtney Griffin paced Seaford with 28 points. Jamar Gamble scored 12 points including a pair of three-pointers and C.J. Scott contributed 10 points.
Laurel 70, Seaford 34
The Blue Jays didn't put a single player in double figures in the loss to their rivals. Seaford was averaging more than 70 points a game. Courtney Griffin, the conference's second-leading scorer at 24.4 points a game, was held to only 8 points. The Blue Jays fell to 1-5 in the Henlopen North and overall.
Seaford 75, Dover 59
The Blue Jays got their first victory behind Courtney Griffin's 25 points. Seaford took a 39-31 halftime lead over the winless Senators and then put the game away with a 20-13 advantage in the third period. Jamar Gamble also had a big game with 21 points as the Jays rose to 1-4 in the Henlopen North and overall.
Caesar Rodney 90, Seaford 83
The Blue Jays remained winless despite a 32-point outburst by Brent Evans that included four three-pointers. Courtney Griffin contributed 14 points for Seaford, which led the game 41-31 at halftime but was outscored 33-20 in the fourth period. The Blue Jays are now 0-4 in the Henlopen North and overall.
Sussex Central 66, Seaford 55
The Blue Jays are in a deep hole in the Henlopen North after suffering their third straight loss in the division and remaining winless. Courtney Griffin, who was averaging 35.0 points a game, scored only 13 against Sussex Central. Wayne Kenton led the Blue Jays, who trailed 34-32 at halftime, with 16 points. Brent Evans added 11 points as Seaford fell to 0-3 in the North and overall.
Sussex Tech 89, Seaford 81
Courtney Griffin scored a career-high 46 points and grabbed 15 rebounds but it wasn't enough to stop powerful Sussex Tech in a key Henlopen North contest. Brent Evans and C.J. Scott added 8 points apiece as the Blue Jays fell to 0-2 overall and in the division.
