The Indian River School District serves southeastern Sussex County with schools in Frankford, Georgetown, Millsboro, Ocean View and Selbyville. Recently, new computer labs have been installed at all seven of the district's elementary schools, new standards have been implemented in core subject areas, high school science labs are being upgraded, new text books have been purchased for all grades in all core subject areas, and more than 80 projects have been completed or begun in IRSD's current capital improvement plan. District students received more than $1 million in scholarships last year and the district's new Southern Delaware School of the Arts enrolled more than 300 students in grades 1-8 last year.
