Bridgeville Delaware is a quiet community of 1,436 served by Route 13 and Route 404. Bridgeville was settled in 1684 as Attawattacoquin on land from Charles Calvert III, Lord Baron of Baltimore. It was named Bridge Branch before officially becoming Bridgeville in 1871. The town was incorporated in 1938. Bridgeville is home to the annual Apple-Scrapple Festival the second week of October.
